Caroline Collins was born circa 1813 at New York.1 She married William Wilkinson, son of Samuel Wilkinson and Jane Williams, on 30 July 1831 at Mansfield, Richland County, Ohio.1,2

Caroline Wilkinson was listed as the wife of William Wilkinson on the 1880 census at Richland County, Ohio, on 9 June 1880. Also residing in the household was a niece, Alice Wilkinson.5 Caroline Collins died on 21 February 1900 at Lexington, Richland County, Ohio.6,7 Her obituary appeared in the 22 February 1900 issue of The Mansfield Daily Shield, Mansfield, Richland County, Ohio. The obituary reads: "Mother of G.M. and J.W. Wilkinson Died Yesterday. Mrs. Wilkinson, mother of G.M. Wilkinson and J.W. Wilkinson and Mrs. William Zay of this city, died at her home on the old Wilkinson farm near Lexington, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock."7
