B, 60 Reg't Alabama Infantry on 3 May 1862 at Rockford, Coosa County, Alabama, He was in the Chicamaugua Battle and when General Longstreet and his forces were sent to Virginia, he went with them. They were in the seige of Petersburg, Virginia.11,4 He ended military service on 4 April 1865 at Washington, D.C; He appeared on a register of refugees and rebel deserters. He took an oath of allegience to the United States and transportation was furnished to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.11 He died on 8 July 1865 at Coosa County, Alabama. He died "with congestion."1,4,6
